Partner
Tom Mackin focuses his consulting practice on teambuilding
through Stop at Nothing’s Self-Leadership and
Empowerment and train-the-trainer programs. He
helps clients customize leadership programs for their
particular industry and specific organization. The
resulting programs are tailored for groups of peers
going though an in-house process together.
Tom joined Stop at Nothing in 1998. Like so
many of the staff, he was first a client, as director
of training for the Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation.
His 17-year career with Merrill Lynch was highlighted
by his participation on the team that won the Malcolm
Baldridge National Quality Award. “I
learned so much about leading in a quality environment,” he
said.
Since becoming part of the Stop at Nothing team,
Tom has established strong relationships with clients
including International Speedway Corporation, Medtronic,
Coach, American Express, and Sprint/Nextel. “I
get paid to do what I love,” he said. “I
really enjoy the experience of re-igniting people’s
passion about what they do. I help them reconnect
to their jobs, enjoy their work more and be fulfilled
by it. And that’s fulfilling to me.”
Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism
from Temple University in Philadelphia. The
father of two daughters, he is involved in their
activities as a basketball coach, soccer coach, and
Sunday school teacher. He is on the board of
directors of his local National Multiple Sclerosis
chapter and is a staunch supporter of the literacy
organization, Learn to Read. |
