Jane Shannon
Senior Consultant
Jane Shannon brings extensive experience in corporate,
academic, and entrepreneurial settings to her work
at Stop at Nothing. She concentrates on facilitation
of awareness seminars and teambuilding for the firm’s
clients. She is particularly interested in
the linkage between leadership effectiveness and
teambuilding and helping individuals understand the
patterns that affect leadership styles.
“We seek to understand the triggers that cause
us to revert to the patterns that trip us up as leaders,” she
said. “These are very powerful things
that are tied to belief systems and what you hold
dear.”
A veteran HR executive in the banking industry,
Jane came to Stop at Nothing from Bank of America.
She first joined Barnett Bank, which became NationsBank,
in its career services division, where she focused
on transition and integration following the many
mergers that resulted in Bank of America. Just
prior to joining Stop at Nothing, she was in risk
management, where she oversaw relationship management
for the consumer bank and enterprise-wide ethical
initiatives.
Jane holds a doctorate in family studies from Virginia
Tech, a master’s degree in family therapy from
Virginia Commonwealth University, and a BA from Belmont
Abbey College. She was a tenured professor
in the College of Education and Human Development
at Radford University in Virginia. She also
established and ran her own leadership development
company. |
