Medardo Monzon

Medardo Monzon is a consultant with extensive professional experience that spans 30 years in the chemicals, plastics and paper industries. His leadership experience includes roles as general manager, business manager and functional leader of research, technical service, sales and marketing departments, mainly in international environments.

He started his career as an entrepreneur in his native Colombia and moved to the United States in 1981.  He has worked for Dow Chemical, Equistar and International Paper. Medardo graduated with a chemistry degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and holds a masters degree in chemistry from Central Michigan University. He is also a graduate of the Mahler Advanced Management Skills Program.

Medardo developed an acute interest in cultural diversity through his extensive travels around the globe. His passion for helping people to grow and achieve their full potential began while attending a leadership seminar, when he was asked what he wanted his epitaph to read.  His personal philosophy around leadership was heavily influenced by R.E. Quinn’s book, “Deep Change - Discovering the Leader Within.”
